The Tampa Bay Young Republicans will be hosting what is hopefully the last of quarantine virtual meetings live via Zoom on June 2nd. We welcome South Tampa Chamber of Commerce CEO, Kelly Flannery to discuss the state of the economy in Tampa Bay. We will also speak with local small business owners to hear about the impact the shutdowns have had on their livelihoods and what their outlook is moving forward. We will finish off by discussing the impact of local regulations on business and what can be done my elected officials.
This event will be done via Zoom, and then at the the end of the month, we are PRAYING everything will be good to start meeting again at The Barrymore Hotel on June 30th for our monthly meeting.

Kelly Flannery Bio:
As the president and CEO of the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Kelly works with business owners and community leaders each day to make South Tampa the best place to live, work and play. Kelly is a certified Florida Chamber of Commerce Professional and graduate of The Florida State University with a B.S. in Political Science.
A Tampa native, Kelly is actively involved in the community as a member of the Community Support Council for MacDill Air Force Base and is the Vice Chair of the Tampa Bay Air Fest. Kelly serves on the board of directors for the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida and the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals.
Kelly has participated in the FBI Citizens Academy, Tampa Police Citizens Academy, Tampa Fire Rescue Citizens Academy, Tampa Mayor’s Neighborhood University, Hillsborough County Leadership
University, Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Business Academy, Educate Hillsborough, and served as an Honorary
Commander at MacDill Air Force Base and as Chair of the Tampa Air Force Ball.
Kelly is a two-time honoree for Businesswoman of the Year (Under 40 and Economic Development), a two-time honoree for Business of Pride (Ally and Community Enhancement), the Tampa Bay Business & Professional Women Foundation’s “Woman of the Year”, and was included in the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Power 100, a guide of the Tampa Bay area’s most influential business leaders.
