Official 2021 Gasparilla Boat Parade (NOT CANCELLED!)

ARRGHH! Pirates don’t cancel invasions and they don’t take orders from tyrants! If the Bucs can throw a boat parade, so can Ye!The City of Tampa may be hostile, but our dear neighbors (out of Code Enforcement’s jurisdiction) on Beer Can Island have agreed to graciously allow us to land the boat parade on their shores on April 17th.We encourage you to grab Ye Krewe, Ye pirate outfits, lots of beads, and make sure this historic tradition isn’t ruined…rain or shine!This event is FREE to attend, but we encourage signing up for a free membership at www.beercanisland.com and donating towards preserving Pine Key for future generations. There are additional charges for Food/Bev and using bathroom facilities on BCI.Official Schedule: April 17th11:00AM – 1:00PM Boat Parade Route: Setting sail from the Marjorie Park, Davis Islands – North To The Sail Pavilion For a special announcement! Loop South near American Social/Tampa Convention Center11:45AM -2:00PM South through Seddon Channel into Hillsborough Bay towards Pine Key (Beer Can Island). Circling Beer Can Island and heading North through The Alafia River Channel and back to Tampa!12:00PM – 6:00PM Beer Can Island Gaspy Day Party. If you’d like to stay on the parade route a bit longer, Anchor on your favorite party island and spend the day with real pirates! Not all boats will get spots, so please anchor nearby if possible.**Safety + Legal – This event is not sanctioned by the City of Tampa and is also not a political event. Please leave politics aside as we enjoy Tampa’s finest tradition safely on the water. Make sure to take all proper precautions by hydrating and designating sober drivers. Make sure to stay socially distanced during the event and be cautious of polluting the bay with any trash!!
